The simple and straightforward design of the OPEN RACK provides the strength and functionality necessary for both work and play. The OPEN Headache Rack by BACKRACK™ offers maximum visibility while making it easy to secure cargo with bungee cords or ratchet straps around the rack. Reinforced steel construction ensures the strength and structural rigidity you demand from a headache rack, and a protective layer of black powder coat resists scratches, chips, and corrosion. Multiple light mounting brackets are also available (sold separately) so your BACKRACK can illuminate the jobsite or the campsite.

The OPEN RACK's simple and open design makes securing cargo easy. You can easily stow a ladder or long pieces of lumber between the uprights and secure them, knowing that your rear window and cab are protected. Furthermore, most BACKRACK models are fully compatible with select Tonneau Covers, allowing you to have both a truck rack and a tonneau cover.

The installation process is straightforward, with the appropriate Installation Hardware Kit (sold separately) allowing you to complete the job yourself. Standard and Toolbox Hardware Kits are no-drill on most late model full-size trucks, while Low Profile Hardware Kits require minimal drilling.
